Last Saturday [31 July 2011] involved a village coach outing, the main purpose of which was to visit Spinalonga.  Every jaunt involves several refreshment stops, lunch and, inevitably, a religious site, usually a monastery. This time it was Agios Giorgios, near Sissi in the Lassithi prefecture.  Next, it was onward to Plaka for the short boat trip to Spinalonga then back to Plaka for lunch before heading home.  The trip home included three more refreshment breaks, including an hour in Agios Nikolaos.  These are some of the photos.
